Тема урока: Modern technologies and the environment.

Цель урока - обучать иноязычной культуре общения, создавая условия для овладения всеми аспектами ИК: познавательным, учебным, развивающим и воспитательным; внутри учебного аспекта — всеми видами речевой деятельности: чтением, говорением, аудированием, письмом.

социокультурный аспект — знакомство с экологическими проблемами в англоязычных странах, с тем, как жители этих стран заботятся о природе, с реалиями и понятиями British Hedgehog Society, Wildlife Center

развивающий аспект — развитие способности к сравнению, умозаключению, способности формулировать выводы, умения понимать определять внутреннюю организацию текста, способности к обобщению, логичности и доказательности; формирование самостоятельности;

воспитательный аспект — воспитание уважительного отношения к природе,; формирование способности осознавать экологические проблемы, осознавать роль человека во взаимодействии с природой; формирование ответственного отношения к природе; формирование желания помочь природе; формирование уважительного отношения к мнению другого; развитие обеспокоенности экологической ситуацией вокруг; формирование уважительного отношения к природным богатствам страны;

учебный аспект — формирование лексических навыков чтения и говорения; развитие умения аудировать и читать с целью извлечения конкретной информации; развитие умения понимать на слух с общим охватом содержания; развитие умения говорить на основе прочитанного; развитие речевого умения (диалогическая и монологическая форма речи).

Ход урока

  1. Modern technologies make our life better. I want you to answer my questions. How do modern technologies impact on the environment? Can they be dangerous? (ответы на вопросы, используя материал домашнего задания упр.99 с 109 и свой личный опыт) What are we going to speak in the lesson about?
  2. Mark the words + or - by what effect they have on the environment – positive or negative.

5 How is the garbage dealt with?

 

1 The most well-known ecological problems are water and air pollution, disappearance of many birds, animals and plants, poaching (браконьерство) and deforestation.

2 No, there are not. There are no environmentally conscious people in my area. I think so because they don’t take care of place where I live, drop litter, pollute the river, fields, forests, cut down trees.

3No, there is no Green Party in the place where I live.

4 It’s a pity, there are no recycling centres in the village.

5 People throw the garbage away, there is a big dump of rubbish not far from the village, or burn it.

 

  1. Write 4-5 sentences about the impact of people on the environment in the place where you live. Use your Workbook.

 

Many people pollute the air driving a car. It is better for health to ride a bicycle and walk. They buy packaged products and throw them away, drop litter into the river. There are small forests near my village. Cutting down trees in them leads to destroying the home for wildlife. People often have the rest in the forest, make fire. Sometimes they did not look after the fire and it has destroyed the fir tree forest. Besides, hunting and fishing people kill animals and birds that’s why many species of animals are endangered.

In the picture there is a hedgehog and a discarded plastic ice cream container. You know hedgehogs live in forests. Probably the photo was taken in the forest. The hedgehog is going to eat ice cream in the container and I’m sure it is dangerous for hedgehogs it can die.

In the British restaurants, new covers were delivered in late August. The company said that it will continue to convince people to be responsible for garbage and even organize special "garbage patrols" that will collect garbage.

-The story surprised me very much and I can say that it`s one of the steps that should be done by people to protect animals.

 

-Have you ever campaigned for anything?

-Yes, I have I have campaigned for protecting birds in winter, collecting litter, taking care of plants.

 

-Give some examples of your ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION.

- As for me I would organize a campaign for taking care of plants, for example planting baby trees and flowers in my school yard.
