Good
afternoon! You are fond of sport: watching sport competitions on TV or going in
for different kinds of sport. So, today we are going to have a "sport programme”
devoted to Olympic Games in Sochi. The programme consists of 6 sections. The
topics of them are: "The History of the Olympic Games”, "The Olympic Games in Sochi”, "National sport heroes of Russia”,
"Favourite Russian game”, "Sochi with the eyes of foreigners”, "Sport in my
life”.
2 The
History of the Olympic Games.
I
wonder what the Olympic Games are.
The Olympic Games are an
international sports festival that began in ancient Greece. In
those days Greek games took place every four years.
They
included not only sports competitions but also competitions in music, oratory
and theatre performances. The earliest information about the Olympic Games goes
back to 776 BC. The ancient Olympic had only one
athletic event - a footrace or a race for runners of about 183 metres. During
the Games there was peace in the country.
The winners of the Games
became national heroes. The Olympic Games
are probably the most important international sports event. Millions
of people watch them, supporting their favourite teams and athletes.
(What
are the Olympic Games? - It is a sport festival)
3
The Olympic Games
in Sochi.
This
year we have a good opportunity to host The Olympic Games.
(Have
you watched the Olympic Games? - Yes. I have. How many medals have the Russian
sportsmen won? – 33)
The
22nd Olympic Games are over, but we must support our Paralympics who
are taking part in sport contents. May our dancing be a good support to them? (Исполняется танец под песню «Олимпийский танец»)
4
National sport
heroes of Russia.
Every
country has its sport heroes who did much for the country and development of
sport. Who can we name as sport heroes?
1 Eugenie Plushchenko is a famous figure
skater.
Evgeny Plushenko was born November 3,
1982 in the village of Urgal Khabarovsk Krai. In 1985 his family moved to
Volgograd. In 1987, five-year Eugene joined the section of figure skating.
In 1993 coach Mikhail Makoveev brought Zhenya to
Alexei Mishin in Petersburg.
Evgeny graduated from the St. Petersburg Academy
of physical culture. Plushenko is a seven-time champion of Russia, five-time
European champion, three-time world champion, double Olympic champion.
Evgeny is fond of going to circus. He loves
motorcycles. The skater dreams of a time
when he can open his own ice center in his hometown of Volgograd.
2 Dmitri Guberniev is a well known
commentator.
(Who
is a sport hero for you? - Vladislav Tretyak.
Why? – He was a good goalkeeper.)
I
will name some Russian sportsmen and you should remember kind of sport they go
in for.
(учитель
называет имя спортсмена, детям нужно вспомнить, какой вид спорта представляет
этот спортсмен; виды спорта даны в слайде)
Adelina Sotnikova – figure
skating
Victor An – short track
Alexader Tretyakov – skeleton
Nikita Krukov – skiing
Alexander Ovechkin – hockey
Alexander Zubkov - bobsleigh
Vic Wild – snowboard
Olga Graf – skating
Olga Zaitseva – biathlon
I’m proud of the results of our sportsmen;
they won 13 gold, 11 silver, 9 bronze medals.
5
Favourite Russian
game.
There
are many sport games people are fond of playing or watching. One of the
favourite games is hockey.
Ice hockey is
a game of two teams, who try to throw the most goals into the gate of the
contender and not to miss in theirs. The winner is the team that threw the
largest number of goals in the gate of the contender. The birthplace of ice hockey is Canada . The
game is very popular. Famous Russian hockey players are Valery Kharlamov,
Vladislav Tretyak, Vladimir Krutov, Pavel Bure, Alexander Ovechkin. The number
of players of one team is six players: five field players and one goalkeeper.
Hockey match serves three people, the chief judge and two other assistants. In
hockey, there are clear rules. This game is included in the list of the Olympic
games. Unfortunately, the Russian team lost in the play against Finland with
the score 3:1
(Do you like hockey?-Yes, I do. Who
is your favourite hockey player? - My favourite hockey player is ….)
6 Sochi
with the eyes of foreigners.
Many people came to Sochi to watch the Olympic Games.
What did they say about the competition? Let’s watch their interviews. (просмотр

7 Sport
in my life.
You
see sportsmen keep fit because they go in for sport. Do you go in for sport?
If you ask me I go in for sport. I am sure
people can’t do without sport. It makes us healthy, strong and disciplined.
Sport is a good way to keep fit. It helps to meet new friends. It teaches to
win and to lose.
8 Подведение итогов.
It’s
a pity, The Olympic Games in Sochi are over and it’s time to finish our sport
programme. Let’s do it singing the farewell Olympic song ( на мотив песни «До свидания,Москва».
See how quiet it is
on the stands there…
We would lengthen these days if we could.
But good bye, dear old Misha, our brown bear,
Hasten back to your fairy-tale wood.
Don’t be sad, smile once more, as we part now,
And remember these days, always do…
We shall meet once again, let us all
bow,
And may all of our wishes come true.
Chorus:
It is time now to part,
But our memories will remain,
And this song in our hearts
Till we meet, till we meet again.
As the ring, the Olympic clear echo
<…> in our
hearts and our poems…
We shall carry the kindness and friendship
We have met with you back to our homes.
So goodbye to you, Moscow, goodbye now!
Great Olympics, farewell to you, too!
We shall meet once again, let us all
bow,
And may all of our wishes come true.
I am sure that you have got
some new information about The Olympic Games in Sochi in our programme and can
give it to your foreign friend if he asks you.
